Interesting Things to do in Cape Town while on holiday
Adderley Street flower sellers
The first thing I noticed is the fragrant smells of flowers! Every stand have so many varieties of roses, carnations, proteas as well as every other kind. The ladies are chatty and love to show you their special offers. It is the heart of flower sellers in the Western Cape and is well worth a visit.
Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village
This centre hosts any quality food houses as well as some of Cape Towns’ leading restaurants. Spend a few hours perusing the shops for something unique or pick and choose a restaurant and enjoy South African and International cuisine in style. One of my favourite is Daniela’s Deliciously Decadent Confectionary Shop. They make truly delicious confectionaries.
Cape Winelands tours
The options here are limitless with so many options to choose from. The best option is to designate a driver and visit the places yourself although there are tours running frequently to every major winery in our valley. My advise is to take cash with and buy a box or two from your favourite destination. The prices are by far less than liquor stores.
Establish way back in 1820, the Newlands Brewery is steeped in history. The “Brewmasters Walk” tour which is hosted by one of the brewers, is held every Wednesday evenings at 6pm.

Table Mountain National Park
Take the cable car up the mountain followed with a walk along the edge of Table Mountain. The view is truly spectacular. If you feel adventurous, take a good pair of walking shoes and walk your way back down through a safe passage. Oh! take your camera!
Kirstenbosch has a reputation for being one of the greatest botanical gardens on earth. The variety is astounding! If you love flowers and plants we suggest that this is a must do as an activity.
